Bob Miller

Bob has been an active artist since 1974, when he discovered that he needed a creative outlet from his stressful dental practice. Although he has had training in oil painting, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, pen and ink, his main focus now is on woodturning. His pieces--now becoming collector's items--all bear the artist's name and the species of wood.

After high school, Bob attended the University of Arkansas where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Later, he attended Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Bob's wife, Marge, and their four children, are not surprised at his success with this three-dimensional art form. He loves working with his hands and has an intuitive ability to see through the raw wood to discover its hidden beauty.
