Daaman Porcelain Jewelry
We have always found enjoyment working in clay and most specifically colored porcelains. Starting in 1992 we began to design and create porcelain jewelry using the ancient technique known as neriage or millifiore (thousand flowers). This method uses colored porcelains to carefully design and construct loaves of clay. These loaves are sliced into individual pieces of clay, which are then formed into a piece of jewelry. Each piece is fired three times and framed in 22 kt. gold. All the rich depth of colors found in our art is from the colored porcelains themselves. No paints, glazes or under glazes have been added. We currently use two part time assistants for mixing and drying the clay, in preparation for the creation of the loaves, as well as attaching the jewelry findings to the finished piece.
We consider our art to be in the ceramics medium although at art shows we are listed under the jewelry category. All our designs are influenced by nature’s own beauty and we strive to preserve a piece of that beauty in all the works that we create.

Our work is currently displayed in over 60 galleries and gift shops throughout the country and we have been honored to receive invitations to many of the finest shows in the nation including Minneapolis, Columbus, Oklahoma City, and Fort Worth. During the past five years we have attended the Utah Arts Festival in Salt Lake City, Tulsa Mayfest, Oklahoma City Festival of the Arts, Columbus Winterfair, State College Art Fair at Penn. State, the Milwaukee Lakefront Festival of Arts, the Park City Arts Festival, and the Columbus Arts Festival.
