I never imagined when I was a little girl making mud pies that I would grow up to be an award-winning artist. What fun! Working with clay is my way of expressing a vision that is characterized by variety and freedom. Art forms change so suddenly and often – just as life does. This journey is forever evolving as I walk in the spirit, wherever it takes me, but always inspired by nature and faith.

My clay creations are brought to life by multifarious techniques. Whether a piece is thrown, slab constructed, or extruded, it will take on a personality with glaze and embellishment.
I positively love Dragun Flies (my preferred spelling), not because they are so winsome and glorious but because they subsist as a nymph, underwater in a pond, for up to four years when, finally, they crawl up a plant stem and become airborne just to pursue a mate. They will only live up to two months. The female drops her eggs back into the pond and the cycle once again recommences.

We are like this nymph – spending most of our lives growing in so many ways and looking for that perfect mate.
