Lynn Sudderth
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, I have been an Arkansan for the past 18 years, living in Benton.

I became interested in art during high school and graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, taking no art courses. Upon my move to Arkansas, I realized something was missing and returned to art, taking clay classes at the Arkansas Arts Center. At that point, I was hooked. Being a very tactile person, I was always attracted by clay “art” and sculpture…anything three-dimensional to hold and touch.

My “eggs”amples of clay art come from looking around at my everyday life. I watch people and see a potential piece. Hopefully I catch their spirit. Movement, surprise, and a sense of humor have always attracted me in life and in art. The biggest compliment I can receive is for someone to look at my eggs and break out in a smile.

The thing that makes me smile most is my wonderful family. My husband Brian, daughter Lauren, and my son Jim bring joy to my life.
